Replacing broken 6100 with pay-as-you-go phone

ok.. my 6100 is out of warranty and broken(dropped), with one year to go before new every two.
I'd rather not go with the refurb 3200 offered by the rep, and don't want to spend $200 for a new 6100..
My question: Target has a V265 sold as a "pay as you go" phone for $125 ... can I buy this and activate it on my contract as a replacement for my 6100?

No. inpulse cannot be put on a regular plan. i don't know if they were marketing it for easypay, but i don't know anything about them as we don't sell it. as far as an inpulse phone, no.

rats... so I guess my only recourse is to cough up a couple hundred for a replacement 6100, or go with the refurb 3200, for $70 ...
Any suggestions for a better replacement phone deal in my situation?

if it was not branded as an impulse phone you could use it, i have not seen any mo265 impulse packages? I have seen 6100,3200.sam650, a nokia, and some crappy audiovox but have never saeen a moto impulse package. are sure it was verizon and not some other prepay serivce on cdma? My best suggestion is ebay or half.com or something like that.

yep... it was a Verizon(well marked) phone. Now I know the 3200 can be used with both... the rep showed me the Inpulse display when suggesting the $70 refurb, said it'can be used either way...Why not the V265 too?
Even Ebay is pricey... just $10 - $15 less than Best Buy...

Thanks all!

im sure u can use that 265 from a prepay package and put it on ur post pay account......u might wanna do the esn change over the phone cause some times if u get stuck with some stuck up person they will not do the change for you.....im saying this from experience cause i had a custmr come in couple of days ago with a phone they had bought a 6015 from target or something and the phone will still in its prepay package and just took the phone out of the package and entered the esn and it worked soooo....yes you can do that.....peace
