My contract is up on the 24th of November and I'm debating on which phone I want to go with. Which do you think would be a better phone with the Verizon network? The Samsung 970 or the RAZR? The Sammy has the 2.0MP camera, but the RAZR has the floss factor. Now this is my only phone also.

From what I understand they both have the Verizon UI, the Razr will not have the Motorola UI...bummer, that's why I will hang on to my E815. It comes down to style, size and, shape vs. camera quality. Do you take a lot of pictures and video? The A970 is kind of a bulky phone but if better quality pictures are important to you go with the A970. If not, than wait for the Razr. Even though it only has a 1.3mp camera, it takes decent photos. here's some more info http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.jsp?Id=1604 &source=BROWSER

The razr is really not that great of a phone and since everyone and their mother has it now, I really dont think its that cool anymore...the WOW factor has certainly diminished since it has come down to a price where everyone can afford it, the presige is gone...if you want a phone to wait for, look out for the Samsung Blade SCH-740, now this phone is sick and it should be out for VZN sometime in early 06....The a970 is a cool phone, but i dont know if its worth is current 299.00 price tag, I would wait till December, i'm sure they will run an Xmas sale on the phone...thats just my two cents...chris

I heard that Sprint was getting the Samsung SCH-V740 to competet with Verizon's Razr. I believe I read that somewhere, but I could be wrong.
