Okay people, I need your input again. Verizon has the Motorola 710 for the same price as the lg4650. I know the Motorola has all the bells and whistles but is it the better phone of the two for reception, ease of use and battery life? It seemed like a no brainer to me until I started thinking exactly what we use a phone for and thought I better ask for some other users input. We really don't care about the camera and bluetooth, but if it's there for the same price, who knows? Thanks, once again.

I thought the 710 was recalled? Perhaps I'm wrong, but personally I'd be skeptical about it. 4650 is a good phone, but not a lot of bells and whistles. If you go Motorola - go with E815. LG - 8100 is a pretty decent comparison.

i am by no means a moto fan, but come on 69 bucks for a bluetooth headset a memory card and a 710. that is a pretty tuff deal and i must say i would pick that over the 4650. I love lg and my 8100, but megapixel, bluetooth, and the 80 headset is included! i think i would jump on that! the 710's recepton is excellant, it kinda of sucked when it first arrived with general moto issues with sofware but those have been cleared up for the most part so it should be a safe bet. The phone will have a one year waranty

That's kinda what I thought. We need the tri-mode for our rural areas. Reception and ease of use is my husbands number one concern.

I just noticed that too, that they have the 710 w/ a TF card (only 16MB, though) and headset for $69.99!!!!!!! Heck, the headset cost that much.

Can't give opinion on the Moto, however stay away from the 4650. Got one for my son about a month ago, he dropped down laundry chute (short drop) and the hinge shattered.
Every phone my family has owned since the TM 510 has been an LG and I'm a big LG fan. However, because of the big speaker in the middle of the phone, the 4650 has two fragile little hinges (one on each side) instead of one solid continuous hinge as is on every other LG model.
The 4650 definately not up to the normally high LG standards.
