Limit on 15-day Trial?

My NE2 date is approaching and there are 3 phones which interest me, the A970 (already out), the 6256i, and the RAZR. Each has pluses and minuses regarding features, but I will have to try each to see what functionality I can get from the Bluetooth link with my car, an Infiniti M35, and my Palm Tungsten E2.

Does Verizon limit the number of 15 day trials of phones? I am tempted to try each one and then choose the one which works the best for my situation. FYI, Infiniti has the V3 listed as compatible (I'm not sure whether that will hold for the V3c) and VZW has the A970 listed as 'pending" for the Infiniti.

The general rule of thumb is three. But honestly it all depends on where you are going to do this at. If your going to a VZW store directly they are more likely going to politely say something about it and ask questions on the third one. Mainly b/c they now have 3 phones out of their inventory that can not be sold again and have to go through the rings for replacements. But the WFG policy does not truly outline or say X amount of phones per customer only. Best bet is to just wait until all 3 are actually out and have been out for a little! This could save you a lot of headaches or follow-ups, esp if you plan on having the phones billed to your account Vs paying for them upfront b/c I can guarantee your refunds will overlap!

Yes, 1 phone per 15 day / purchase. But that was not the question. Each new phone purchase comes with the WFG. If customer is not happy with it, bring it back within 15 days and get a different one. Not happy with that one either bring that one back. It is not just a one time only per customer! Check the actual M&P

That is not true, under your logic then I could trade in for a new phone every 10 days infinitely...The limit is one trade per purchase...When you bring the phone back within the 15 days of purchase then thats it...You do not get 15 days for the new one...This is what I was told on 2 different occasions with verizon

Here's the deal....When you buy a phone, you have 15 days to EXCHANGE for a different model if you do not like the phone. BUT THAT IS IT! It clearly states on the receipt and on all written policies that you are only allowed 1 EXCHANGE.

Now, say you go in, buy a phone full retail, decide you want to try something different or possibly 2 or 3 different phones. Then you would need to RETURN the phone and BUY the other one full retail which gives it another 15 days on that one. At that time if you decide you don't like that one eihter then you need to also RETURN that one and Buy another, unless you know for sure that last one is a keeper, then you can simply EXCHANGE.

P.S. Just because I'm saying this, doesn't mean I encourage it. You know, every phone that comes back has to go back through the system, usually end up as a FRU, costs Verizon money which in turn costs us money. So I'd say, go in and play with the phones as long as you need, read reviews, etc. and try to pick the phone the first time that best fits your needs. Sometimes you think you have the best one, have it for a few days and decide you were wrong, but so be it, that is what the 15 day WFG is for, but it's not to be abused!

Thanks to all of you for your input. Needless to say I was not going to do this willy-nilly and I have given this process some thought. I have read several reviews and am enticed by the promise of a phone that can have a meaningful relationship with both my car and my PDA. (No, I am not interested in another PDA phone for a variety of reasons.) Unless there is a way I can try a Bluetooth phone in my car before I purchase it I may need to return a phone or 2 if allowed. That was what I was trying to find out. 😁

Best Buy allows 30 days for return with no limit.

They were talking about Verizon direct, not Best Buy.

Correct. I was interested in Verizon direct because I was told that only they would honor the NE2.

If you get a nice enough sales associate, they will walk out to your car with you with the display phone and let you try it and see if it works. I have a BMW and this is what they did for me, it was very helpful.

Hey if you say so, so be it! I'm just VZW employee of 4 years reading the M&P on the WFG right in front of me! But your right 🙄

And again I quote,...

I personally have used it 3 times with no problem, I would think after 3 times you would make up your mind. I mean how many times were you planning on using it?
