Ok, I joined VRZ back on Nov 26th in 2003, I'm already available for my $100 towards a new phone, I'm curious to know how long will the $100 last for? 6 months? just till the end of 2005?

I heard that you have up to 6 months after to receive your $100, I also called and spoke to a CS rep and he told me that I have till the end of 2005, but he didn't sound to confident about it, I spoke to a sales rep at a VRZ store and he told me that there is no time limit

I'm waiting to compare the new phones that VRZ has coming out, so I'm trying to wait to get something I really will like

Can anyone help me out here?

Gunny, I am disappointed in you. You are leaving out the best phone I have EVER seen. And it's already out too. The Samsung a970.

You must retain the same wireless handset for 24 months in order to receive the full advantages of this program. If you choose to replace your handset at a discounted price prior to completing 24 months of enrollment in the program, you will forfeit your benefits and be automatically reenrolled in the program. If you enrolled in the program on or after 11/25/02, you must take advantage of the New Every Two offer within six months of becoming eligible; otherwise, you may be charged full retail price to upgrade your current handset. Discount amount will be applied toward the two-year Customer Agreement retail price. Additio...

You can actually redeem after 22 months from your last upgrade, as long as you are on a 2 year agreement. In addition, if you do an early upgrade, yes, it will reset NE2. If you are a one year agreement, no NE2. Yes, it is 6 mos after the NE2 date, but I have never seen a customer denied NE2 for being out of the 6 month period. A supervisor can change the date with no problems! 😁

To be honest with slowmo9494, if someone is willing to wait longer than the time allowed to purchase a phone minus the $100, it said we are also able to get a credit of $100 and that would allow us to wait it out for the phone we want. In what form of "credit" we get is the real question!

Sorry gunny, your answer was just a little to obvious. Some people gotta have lesser quality phones to appreciate the good ones when they get'm 😉

I joined VZW in June 2002, just "redeemed" my NE2. I wasn't auto-enrolled in NE2, as I joined just before they started the promotion, but an email to Cust support got me added retroactively.

Anyway, Verizon let me have my NE2 $100 credit, so I ordered the Motorola E815 online and got it for free! It's been great so far, averaging 3 days and a couple hours talk between charges, on 24x7.

I hope that phone works out for you. I would have waited with the RAZR coming out. Either that, or I would have gotten the Samsung a970. 2MP camera with 2x optical zoom in a phone. Amazing.

You should nver leave your phone on 24/7. It should be power cycled at least once daily.
