If Radioshack and indirect stores are offering the Nokia 6256i this coming week, how long before the Verizon stores or Verizon on-line will have the phone so we can use our NE2 to take advantage of the $100? Thanks!

i wouldn't think they would let an indirect store carry a phone before their direct locations that just doesn't make sense to me! but i guess we'll find out.

yup they're doing just that.....places like rs and best buy are going to be getting the phone for now.....atleast thats what i herd from the nokia rep that came to my store with the phone.......hopefully they realize how big of a deal this phone is to customers and we might get it in sooner.

They do this all the time (ie. samsung 970). The 970 took at least a month maybe a little more before it came to the VZW store after being at Best Buy. I don't know if it will be the same for this phone, but it was at least a month or so for the 970.

i think the nokia is going to take a little bit longer....cause we had the 970 in store and it was already released at bestbuy....but the nokia rep told me itll be while before you see that phone in vzw direct stores.

Yea, that and nokia shows it on their site too - this is getting annoying...It's OBVIOUSLY about to be sold by Verizon, yet you call around, verizon stores, radio shack, verizon online store etc and no one knows a thing about it.

I hate my V710, I want this 6256i NOW! damn it!

Argh...

Verizon Wireless has done this many times in the past. Moto V260 was one...Samsung had a non camera version of the a670 (can't remember the model number) that was available only at RS and Best Buy. I know there has been more phones.

Why?

Why doesn't VZW make the NE2 available for indirects? Why have phones that are only available through certain channels? Who knows...

The reason phones are released to indirect channels first sometimes, or online exclusive or indirect exclusives is to funnel business through these channels. For instance, lots of agents complain as does indirect like Best Buy and Radioshack that they lose upgrades to corporate stores around the corner because they can't use the New Every Two program. The people who make the decisions to release phones and where understand they we are all working on the same team will release phones to certain channels only to help them out.

Now about the New Every Two program. There are very strict guidelines for New Every Two that stores must follow, the credit is only good for the primary line, you can not use the credit towards accessories or use the...

You know, its funny. Yes I agree there are crooked dealers out there. That is a shame, but true. There was a dealer near me who would sell used phones without disclosing that to the customer. It created a very bad situation. But then again, he is no longer in business. As far as the NE2...it wouldn't be difficult at all. Put a spiff on upgrade primary lines only and have that spiff amount equal the difference of what the customer would have normally seen discounted at the store. OR have the rep manually submit requests for a credit for the amount. Either way it would work.

They could just make it another step that goes through Credit & Review like a regular upgrade does. We can't do the upgrade unless they approve it. Then there would be no worries.

I wouldn't be so sure seeing as thought Verizon stores have started to see the rebate forms show up.

Hey come to my store if you buy the package I give you the NE2 not all indirects will but I do my best as long as I don't loose any money. I don't have a price point yet for the nokia but If I go with the e815 I normally do a package for $269.99 includes phone home charger car charger leather case or a holster a 2yr warranty on phone and the motorola blue tooth headset (hs820) I take $100 bucks off that package for a NE2 that means you pay 169.99 get the $50 rebate and you have all the accessories you need oh and I have an mp3 package you get for free as well..... I doubt you can get better at a vzw owned store.
