It's all a personal preference in style, fit, etc. All BT headsets are compatible, you just need to find the one YOU like best. Almost everyone on here will have a different answer for you. I personally use the Motorola H500 and LOVE it, the Jabra BT250V is nice, HS850 works well too. Some will love a particular one, while someone else will hate it, so that's a hard question to answer. I'd say if you've looked at the HS850 and you like it, try it out. It is a nice headset.

Ive found the Moto headsets dont work as well with the LG phones, I would try either a plantronics or Jabra.

there is a known issue with the hsb850 and the 8100. some people are reporting an "echo" on the callers side when the above mentioned items are pared. this is most noticable when the phone is charging. LG is aware of this and new software is in the works to resolve this issue. So for now, go with a jabra or plantronics (there is a blue jabra set that looks really good with an 8100)

Ummm....you can't use the BT when the phone is charging (at least the 8100), so I don't know how the echo would be most noticeable then since you can't use it. Anyway....most if not all BT headsets will produce echo at times with any handset.

I thought it did, I remember reading somethin on the reported issues page in InfoManager about bluetooth, charger, and the echo with regard to the 850. Then again, i read it about 2 weeks ago, so i might be wrong...
