Can any of you that have used the VX4500 provide me with some honest opinions. I wanted the 4600 but looks like VZW won't sell it.

Thanks

The 4600 is an online only phone, and yes the 4500 is a good phone, some people have claimed there are issues with the speakerphone but I have one for my wife and she hasnt had any issues with it so far. Usually LG makes pretty good phones, I'd by either a LG or a Samsung over anything else Verizon has to offer at the moment.

I have used th 4500 and absolutely love the speakerphone...The driving mode is very impressive and the way it picks up ur phone book entries when u say them is pretty impressive...I have had very good luck with it and lg is #1 cdma handset producer rated by wireless week...

I'm doing a 15 day trial on both as I write this. I'll be sticking with the 4500. Sound quality on both is terrific. Aesthetically I like the design of the 4600 a bit better. But in terms of usefulness for me, nothing can beat the voice activation that the 4500 has. Digit Dial is wonderful as well as driving mode. Here are some of my specific nit picks and observations for each:

4600 PROs
- Nice shape and size.
- The metallic navy and silver colored clam shell looks great.
- The outer OLE screen is very cool.
- Very, very easy to get in and out of the desktop charger.

4600 CONs
- No voice activation commands (NOTE: This is very, very different than Voice Dialing from our contact list - which it has.)
- "Muddy" screen colors...
