What phone should I get?

Ok, so my current phone is broken, and I called tech support, and was informed I can take it in and trade it in for a new phone.

The phone has about a 100 dollar value, but I am definately willing to throw some more money at it to get a better phone.

I LOVE TO E-MAIL/Text Message, but the only phone that I can find for Verizon that does that for me is the Motorola Q, all the others are to large/don't have the technology/assets that I want.

What are your thoughts on the Nokia 6255i/6256i and the HTC Apache/PPC-6700?

Any other suggestions? I don't need a camera, but it's not the end of the world if it has one, but I will never use it.

Thanks!

Any idea when any of the three phones I listed will be coming out and/or if there are any other suggestions?
Thanks.

I would motion for a samsung 650, or the nokia 2128. Come on, a flashligh-phone 🤣
no seriously, I'd go for a kyosera or a nokia. They're my favorite low-end phones. Moto's are great, but don't get anything that's of lesser standing than v276 (and yes, the razr is at the same level/lower thant the 276 until proven wrong.) LG's... let's not go there.

I think it's hard to answer questions about phones that have not yet made it to my store. but like i said, nokia's a good solid (basic) phone. If the phone you get doesn't work out at first... Hey, you always got the 15 day return dealie.

Personnally I've had the Treo 600 and 650, the blackberry, the samsung i730 and now I have the LG 9800. For emails and txt I would suggest the 9800 for one simple reason.......You can still make a quick phone call when you need to. To make a phone call on the pda's you have to go through a couple of steps to start making a phone call, the treo's don't have voice activated dialing from the bluetooth headset. With the 9800 you can still speed dial, voice activated dialing from the bluetooth headset and when you need to txt or email, just open it up and do your thing.

Thanks Peteacher, I like the 9800's look (except I don't like the camera, but that's alright...)

I did a little research on the phone, and here is a con I found, any idea's on it:

"Wireless Sync. Ok, fine to have wireless sync but apparently that's the only POP 3 e-mail I can get. I was using "Email Executive" on my 8000, a $4.99 /month pop e-mail checker which apparently I can't download on this phone. I believe it's because they want you to pay $19.99 instead."

Also, is there anyway to get around Verizon not allowing you to record your own rings?

I also used to have the blackberry 7750, how does this phone compare?

Think I should pull the trigger or wait for either the Q or the HtC Apache/PPC-6700?
