LG VX-4500 + Mobil Web + Office Connect Cable
I just bought the LG VX-4500, I have to say I like this phone already because of the speakerphone feature.
Anyhow....I added mobile web feature and bought the office connection kit while I was there.
If I want to connect my laptop to it to surf the internet while I am around and about, do I really have to pay for the mobile web feature?
Also, anyone done this and can show me how to browse the internet w/o paying for the express network 79.99 program using this feature on my laptop? I don't mind it being a bit slow.
Last Question: It uses the anytime / weekend / night time minutes right? Do they cound by KB / MB transfer too?

You will need some type web access. I would call customer service and check out your options. If you use it with out the 79.99 unlimited plan you will use your minutes and it can rack up quickly. Be careful not to use Quick 2 Net. This is an option when you log on as this will bill you .69 per minute regardless if you are in your home area.

I'm about to do the same thing and from what i gathered talking to verizon was that i needed a data plan or it was going to charge me 69 cents per minute regardless of the time of day because i would be 'roaming' on the data network... it barely made sense.
what i was hoping was to be able to go online with my laptop after 9 at night and on the weekends to use my unlimited minutes... not sure if you can or not.
