It says "Available from: Best Buy, Radio Shack".

Has anyone seen it at Best Buy yet (or in-store at Radio Hack), or is Nokia jumpin' the gun by a few days?

I do believe that Nokia jumped the gun this time. I called a couple of RS's and BB's in the DC market, and they haven't seen it, either. I also spoke to a Verizon company store in McLean, VA who told me they got a few pieces of the 6256i and sent them back for a reason they would not share. This is getting very weird. This closed-mouthed policy of Verizon's really irritates the dickens out of me, but it's not the hill I want to die on. I have to figure, eventually, all of this will be straightened out. The one thing I think we can all count on is that the phone will be available. It's just a matter now of when.

Stay tuned.

and any bugs that they recalled them for fixed. i like the fact that they can hold off release to make sure it works. like the new legend of zelda game that's been pushed back to god knows when.

The phone will be in best buy in the next few days.. 10000%..

I saw the incoming orders screen today..

Don't get too excited , it's nice but the Razr is something to maybe wait for..

as an existing customer of VZW I'd prefer to get this phone at RS, as they give you the same discount price as for new customers if you renew your plan. but the problem is that none of the RS stores in my area are carrying it and most reps say they won't get any new models in the near future.

I'm not sure about BestBuy's pratice in phone upgrades for existing customers. And I always consider VZW the last option to upgrade your phone.

I'm actually thinking of getting this phone from Ebay, but not sure if VZW will activate for you easily.

If they don't have it in the store that doesn't necessarily mean they don't have it. Go to a Verizon Wireless "RETAIL" store and see if they can order you one. They 2nd Day Air you the phone at no extra cost and if you are upgrading with NE2 you can use that eventhough they might not have it in the store. Go by a store, pick out a sales rep, ask them for a card and make that your contact. After a while they'll remember you and the more personable the experience the better. Go by and ask if they can order it... GOOD LUCK. 🙂

All I can say is that I got a call from a really old sounding man a few days ago. He asked me if we had any Nokia's available and due to THE ONLY ONE, the call center carries, being on hold, I told him no. He said that he saw a flip Nokia at Radio Shack. I kept saying, are you sure? He kept telling me (an old man!) that he saw a flip Nokia at Radio Shack. It was somewhere in PA. He said he saw it in person but I don't necessarily believe that. Strange... 😲

I saw the 6256i at Radio Shack too....but it was a dummy model. I'm sure that's what the "old man" saw.
