I have backed myself into a corner...I switched to Verizon from Cingular 20 days ago, my Cingular account is active until Saturday and my wife is still using Cingular. I have a V710 and my Onstar carphone active on the Verizon account and i need to add another line for my wife. The problem is i have decided that i want a Nokia 6256i and want to give my wife the V710 (we both need tri mode phones). Well the damn Nokia is currently only availabe to new customers so i cant get it as an extra line so i have to wait until its available to existing customers and i am now out of time. If i go and buy a phone at a Verizon store to use in the meantime than i will lose my credit with Verizon and will have to pay a ridiculous price for the Nokia w...

I talked to a Verizon rep and they told me that if I added a line a got a free phone from them when i come back in a couple of weeks to buy the Nokia than i will have to pay full retail (ouch!). Apparantly you get a better deal upfront on the first phones that you buy.

Kinda scared of ebay, but i will give it a look.

No, that would be perfect...However, will it be available to existing customers?

I have to give credit to a Verizon rep who contacted Inphone and tried to work out a deal for me on the phone from them, but was unable to pull it off...So far i have been very happy with the customer service people at Verizon.

You'd think so. But I guess you'll have ta ask 'em to be sure.

If I remember right, someone on HowardForums posted that the Best Buy SKU number fo' the 6256i is #7302616. Dat might help a register monkey at BB find it in their database fo' you.

Hope it all works out an' that there's no mo' delays. I been waitin' to try this phone out too.
