yup. as long as the phone is still in the same new condition. and it doesnt matter how long you talk on it for, just as long as the phone comes back how they sold it to you. There is no restocking fee, you get a total refund.

Fod goodness sake. Then I could be trying out phones like Gunny! That kiosk Cingular sales rep told me that after 3 days I would have to pay $35 re-activation fee and $35 re-stocking fee! That made playing around with the camera cost prohibitive!!!

OH! Hey, that's right. when I bought my Moto V60i at Good Guys they did all the activation for me. I didn't have to go to an AT&T store..... I forgot about that.
So then Guns doesn't have to go to the Verizon store.

One thing that I think is cool, is on one side of the phone is the volume control, nothing on the other side. No CAMERA button on opposite side..

There is one small button for voice control but it's not on the keypad side, it's on the screen side, a perfect spot.

The camera botton is in the menu system itself,no outside button. The camera is not much to talk about I'm afriad Lorna. The camera takes crappy pictures, but I knew that and I don't care. My e815 takes much better pictures. I never buy a cell phone for the camera though like some.

I have read so many reviews that loved the camera/pictures. Hmmm. What is it about the pictures that you find crappy? Crappy is such a vague word.

OK, then I feel better. All I care is that it scores well compared to other VGA cameras, not to my Canon PowerShot digital at home.

Dat's not exactly true, guns. There IS an outside button fo' the camera, but its on the side of the FLIP. Its kinda small, so its easy to miss.

Its the same button you use to activate the speakerphone when receivin' an incomin' call.

Just wanted to add.. setting the Camera Quality to 'High' helps a little too.

Its still not sharp, but the pics are a lil' better now.

Can only think of the followin' downsides:

-Like you say, Best Buy an' Radio Shack don't do NE2, the Verizon store does (but VZW stores don' seem like they're gonna be carryin' the 6256i anytime soon, if at all)

-I hear that if you cancel your contract early, you pay an ETF(early termination fee) not only to Verizon, but also a seperate ETF to Radio Shack or Best Buy?

Fo' RS, I seem ta remember that was the case if you early cancelled in the first 120 days or somethin'. Best Buy similar?

-Radio Shack won' be carryin' Verizon anymore after the end of the year, so if you buy from them they might not care as much 'bout helpin you after that if you run into problems

And what does it mean that this is the first totally unlocked Bluetooth phone Verizon has? What Buletooth features specifically can you use on this phone that are crippled on other Verizon phones?

Reception has been really good. Its kinda hard to measure it by the number o' bars the phone is showin' though, 'cus in places where it gets 2-3 bars, my friend's Samsung shows 3-4. BUT when you go to make the call, the Nokia on 2-3 bars sounds a lot better than the Samsung with 3-4. There's also been calls that the Samsung dropped that the Nokia held. So I guess Nokia is more 'honest' when it comes to the bars showing?

Comparin' it to the e815, well, I don' got an 815, but gunny owns both the 815 an' the Nokia 6256i, an' he says the Nokia sounds better. I believe him, 'cus the 6256 sounds pretty freakin' great through the regular speaker.

The speakerphone sound quality is only ok though, an' thats only if you don' turn it up too high...

Don' feel bad Lorna, I jus' got the phone myself today, an' I'd give the main display a B minus.

The brightness is good, but it ain' razor sharp. I seen better, i seen worse. But it sure ain' BAD by any measure. 🙂

If you wan' a phone with a bigger screen, check out the Moto e815.

I'm guessing that people in the west coast would get this baby a few days ahead of us easterners.

Go into your local Best Buy an' give 'em the SKU number for the phone (7302616) an' have 'em look it up in their database fo' you. Most Best Buys should be gettin' 'em in within a few days, if they haven't got 'em already (don' know if ALL BBs will be carryin' it tho').

An' yeah, you can get it fo' retail there ($249), or w/a 2yr ($149).

Well I got the phone and I feel REALLY old right now. Though I have not activated it yet, I am unhappy with the ringers. I just want a simple LOUD (i.e. ring-ring) phone ringer. I don't need "tunes", just a phone ringer :-(

Part of me thinks that I should activate it and try to find a simple loud ringer from "get in now", but, I hate taking that chance and not being able to return it if this doesn't work.

Man, this is frustrating.

They have a simple phone ringer, it sounds just like a plain phone. Its in the TONE section.

The million dollar question of course is when will the RAZR actually be released? When I was in Best Buy todayI asked the sales guy, He said that he heard Black Friday, but, was not very confident that would actually come to pass.

He is very close, the word on Hofo Street is Nov 28 online exclusive, in stores Dec 1

These dates come from very reliable sources, so I'm fairly confident in them.

Interesting. I will probably return the Nokia tomorrow. My son listed my VZW Blackberry 7250 today so if it sells before the RAZR comes out, I will just activate one of my older non bluetooth phones. Any word on the 7103e?
