3 Reasons why not to get the CDMA RAZR

1. If Verizon is going to disable the BlueTooth (the OBEX profile) such that one cannot transfer files from phone to BlueTooth computer, I don't want the CDMA RAZR.

2. If the CDMA RAZR's display is going to be identical to the RAZR V3 Cingular's rather than to the so-called RAZR 2 with the far brighter display, that's another reason not to buy it.

3. It's costly. More than $500.

Chit. Its like 'Godfather part 3'.. "I want OUT, but they keep PULLLIN' me back IN." 😳 😳 😳

1) No one seems to know fo' sure if the CDMA RAZR is gonna have crippled bluetooth or not. The 6256i is the ONLY phone they have out where the bluetooth ain't crippled. Start of a trend? Don' know yet, but wouldn't bet onnit.

2) I know the CDMA RAZR *DOES* have the brighter display. I researched the heck outta the thing 'til I realized that I didn't want a 'pretty boy phone' that I could not use an' abuse. It also DOES have the 1.3 megapixel camera.

3) We don't know if it costs a ton. Diff'rent rumors keep comin' out on this. Latest one was $249 with a 2-yr and a $50 mail-in rebate. No one knows fo' sure.

Where do I sign up fo' RAZRs...

Can you verify that it has expandable memory or not?
And thank you for the confirmation about the brighter display.

Here's the official Moto page. Seems like they didn't go w/expandable memory, but instead put more memory into the phone (30MB, vs original RAZR's 5MB), tho' I still can't say fo' certain it has no card slot. :

Thanks! I read the article (Bookmarked it, too) and about BlueTooth I saw:

" ”¢Â Integrated Bluetooth wireless technology"

and noted that it does not say FULLY ENABLED BlueTooth ......... ☹️ but maybe that is a good thing, bc it'll keep the Nokia 6256i at the top of my short list.

Appreciate the extra work you did there, SystemShock.
