I have a question about my verizon wireless phone. I accidentally dropped by phone yesterday and it no longer works. When i take it to the verizon store, will i recieve another one for free? Am i allowed to get a different phone as long as it was less expensive than my original one?

Sorry to hear about your phone. If you have insurance on your account, there is a 50.00 deductible to receive a replacement phone and it will be sent to you by fed ex. After receiving the replacement you will need to send the damaged phone back. If you don't have insurance, and you are not eligible to upgrade, you will either have to purchase a refurbished phone for 90.00 (if in stock), or purchase a phone at fu...

verizontothewireless is absolutely correct. Even if you are within your 1 year warranty time it does not cover dropping your phone, so they won't give you one for free!

okay, here's a dirty little secret.
If (and only if) there is no visable damage to the handset, you can simply say "my phone doesn't want to turn on" We'll toy with it for a minute or so, duplicate it not wanting to turn on, try a new battery, try to charge it. after we can find immediate customer-related cause of failure we'll exchange the handset.

If it's cracked, scratched, or has a bleeding display, omit the above.
