here's the deal.

it came out TODAY. Only through the business department until December 1st. It is 299, but if you get the data packages, etc, it is 199.

Hope that helps.

The release date of this product has been pushed back past the original December 1st release date. I can only say there are software issues with regard to how the Blackberry interfaces with the EVDO network. A fix is in the works but it may not be until mid December until its release, and this is an optimistic estimate. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

you guys do understand that there could be an injunction against rimm that could halt all united states sales?

RIM has stated that this won't happen. They have enough resources to back up what they say...

it could happen, actually. the injunction was already put on them, however, rimm was successful at getting the STAY on that injunction.. the courts have a few things that rimm could win upon, but who knows.

i trust rimm, but obviously the company would say this wont happen. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!! they are a publicly traded company so they have to say whatever to keep the shareholders happy. it is up to the judge who will be deciding this case whether he feels that the injunction is to be enforced or if the settlement of $450 mill that was earlier should be enforced..

they have resources, but this injunction could happen.

it does help RIM that there are many government agencies that use their products, so it's likely they'll have a plan to support thier current customers and such.

the problem is, the governement is one of their sectors that they target.. you need all of the sectors.. another big one is their corporate businesses and if they lose them becuase of this injunction it will hurt them..

i posted something on the matter and the potential outcomes and things of that nature. the url is https://www.phonescoop.com/news/discuss.php?f m=m&ff=1472&fi=436680 if you are interested.

DAMNIT. It looks like they pulled the phone from their website. So, but my local store said they have it in stock. Should I get it or are there serious problems?

well, i would be very cautious and wait until the ruiling will be given within the next few months.. there will be a huge mess if the injunction will be enforced and there will be no settlement. (i also have a blackberry by the way and i am a bit speculative eventhough i dont pay for it nor the bill. lol. ) if you are a local official or in the gov you are fine even if the injunction is enforced.. if you arent then you have tons of things to worry about.

The phone was pulled from verizon's website anyway, so it's not even a worry until January 21st.

I would love to see a FULL WORKING LINK to that! Others have posted a link claiming to show it, and it just goes to their $20 off all phones page before getting into the phone selection... I can see the 7130 when I look under asccessories etc, but I cannot see it anywhere else on their site, let alone see where I could buy it.

Please post full link to where you can buy it.
