Sam 950 - dropped calls & leather case

I keep hearing the Samsung 950 is a great little phone except that it tends to drop calls. I also heard an interesting rumor that having it in a case enhances the signal and reduces the dropped calls. I can't see the mechanism behind this, but I thought I'd ask some of you out there who have one. True or not?

i dont have a 950, i have a 670 and i dropped a couple of calls, i think its a samsung thing. my old motorola never dropped calls and my new 670 has dropped like 6 calls in a year i know its not THAT much but considering my old motorola only dropped 2 in 25 months its pretty bad.

but back to my point i believe the 950 has an internal antenna? if you place you fingers near the internal antenna(i think it is located right above the battery on the back of the phone) during a call you can interfere with the signal and it will cause you to drop the call.

I think youare confusing the case with a dropped phone, Yes the phone will work better if it's dropped while in its case.

Glad i cleared that up fo ya.

I'm not worried about a case for simply physically dropping the phone. What I'm thinking, from the current replies, is that the case may prevent you from interfering with the internal antenna by the way the phone is being held. I've never known an internal antenna to be quite that fussy, but I've only had Nokia and LG in the past, so perhaps it's a Samsung thing.
