VX9800 or Sidekick

Tmobilechicago

Nov 23, 2005, 10:27 PM
I have never really wanted a verizon phone even with tmobiles selection until the Vx9800,but the streaming media service is not available at my school. Is the 9800 really worth it then, will i be able to still search the net and send and receive email like the sidekick. I would really like to know more about the device and verizon because at this time t-mobile is kind of boring just like the prices some of the phones.

I'm a SK user and it just broke and t-mobile won't replace it ☚ī¸
so I'm thinking about making the switch too.
My main concern is how to access my verizon email via the desktop? You can do that with the sk via the t-mobile web site. Does anybody know if this is possible with the 9800?

There isn't a desktop with the 9800, i've never used the SK. I have the 9800, you can accecss your e-mail two ways. One - with vcast. Vcast includes unlimited web, so you can access your e-mail on the web on the phone. You cacn also pay 20 dollars extra and have your e-mail synched with your phone.

as I noted elsewhere, the email, contacts, and calendar synching sounds way too cumbersome. I'm going to keep the sk2 for now
