Hum.. I find it pretty hard to believe that Verizon would release it wit' BOTH full Bluetooth AND the ability to set any file as a ringtone. They wanna SELL ringtones, a'ight?

'spite what roc says, I think the farthest they'd go is what they already did on the Noke 6256.. uncrippled BT, but you can't set anythin' but GetItNow stuff as ringtones.

Roc sure seems to think he's right tho', so I guess we'll see in abouta week. But I wouldn' even be suprised if it got released wit' crippled BT like the call-out cards are showin', y'know?

I feel what you are saying, but it is very interesting that The Roc is saying this about production models. I don't know if you read the part about the TF card. The Roc was saying because the v3c doesn't have one that you will be able to assign ring tones. As we both know the nokia does have a tf card. I don't know what to think but it's certainly interesting. I appreciate your input on it. There are a couple folks stating that they have successfully set mp3 as ring tones...

Well i hope Roc is right, even tho' I is still skeptical.

One of the few real knocks 'gainst Verizon is the fact they cripple BT on their phones and/or hamstring you so you gotta go through GetItNow. They get away wit' it 'cus the average person don' care.

But it still hurts Verizon wit' the young techie segment.. an' those are the guys who tend to buy the most expensive phones, an' upgrade the most frequently.

So maybe they really did get religion an' are finally doin' the right thing. But I won' fall outta my chair in suprise iffin' it turns out they haven't. 😕
