can anyone tell me with the v-cast plan that comes with unlimited mobile web and unlimited get it now does that include unlimited AIM messages?

i'm pretty sure that aim is not covered with vcast...99% sure.
each msg cost the same as a text message.. i suggest getting a text plan and you are good to go.

I will chip in the other 1%. AIM uses txt msgs and has nothing to do with VCast

thanks for the help but i was told by a verizon rep that with the vcast package you get unlimited use of AOL IM by having unlimited GET IN NOW and unlimited MOBILE WEB.

Unlimited Get it Now and Mobile Web airtime do nothing for an IM as it does not use any airtime to have the IM open. When you downloaded the IM, there was a message that you had to agree to that stated that you would be billed regular text message charges for any messages sent or received. Because there is no airtime involved in text messaging, again, VCAST does nothing for this. The only thing that VCAST does for you is give you unlimited AIRTIME for browsing Mobile Web and Get It Now. Please note that you will still be charged for any GIN apps that you choose to download, it just won't use your airtime to do it.

Correct. AIM uses text messages. Text messages are not covered by the VCast pack. Also, AIM is not covered by the unlimited IN messaging package either. Sorry about that.
