Yeah, people keep saying February, but that sure doesn't sound like EARLY 1st Quarter to me, which is what they said in the original press release. Also, I highly doubt that VZW would put "coming soon" on their website for a device that wouldn't be out for practically 75 more days?!?!?

Also keep in mind that Verizon is basically the only carrier in the world without a WM 5.0 device.

Oh, and did I mention that the 700w is worthless. Low-res, square screen, no wi-fi, external keyboard, small keys, etc...

Verizon better hurry it up with the XV6700 already. Now there's a phone worth waiting for.

The 700w's screen res is the same or better than the 650 isn't it? I had a 650 and it was more than sufficient, what the heck are you trying to do with your smartphone, graphics design?

Jeez...

As for keyboard, small keys etc...I'd prefer a smaller device than all that...I have a laptop already. I think most would agree, the point to a device like this is eliminating bulk by using one device rather than two. Plus, the whole moving parts thing, currently there are no moving parts (aside from keys etc) on the Treo, nothing to break there. That pocket pc slider is just another thing that could go wrong with the phone (IMO).

wi-fi - ehh, if the 700W truly doesn't have wi-fi that does suck, but thats nothing that can't be solved by a SD ...

"700w's screen res is the same or better than the 650...what the heck are you trying to do with your smartphone, graphics design?" - Treo is only 240x240. PowerPoint, Web, Excel, video, you name it, and you'll wish you had better.

"As for keyboard, small keys etc...I'd prefer a smaller device than all that" - The Treo 700w is virtually the same exact size as the XV6700

"the whole moving parts thing, currently there are no moving parts" - [B]Total Equipment Protection - $5.99/month

"wi-fi - ehh, if the 700W truly doesn't have wi-fi that does suck, but thats nothing that can't be solved by a SD wi-fi expansion card" - 700w will not have wi-fi. Yep, and you can also connect rabbit ears to your TV, but do you? I a...

I didn't realize the treo was only 240x240 - I've checked around since receiving your post here and the *rumor* is the 700W will be as well; to conceed your point on this lets hope that rumor is wrong but for me, the treo 650 screen size worked fine so 240x240 is fine for me. If not for you, that's your preference but it doesn't make the treo crap by comparison as you say...Everyones needs are different.

"The Treo 700w is virtually the same exact size as the XV6700"

Until you decide you actually want to press some buttons on the XV6700.

"Total Equipment Protection - $5.99/month"

I've had cell phones just about since the dawn of the cell phone market...Never lost one, and the only ones I've had break are ones with moving parts (fl...

"Likely there's something significant (EVDO? Bluetooth? Memory card expansion slot?)."

Nope, the XV6700 has:

1.3 MP camera
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
EV-DO
Expansion slot(mini-SD)

You name it, it's there.

Actually, in the past 24 hours the one-handed operation on the Treo has got me curious whether it would be a better move.

On one hand, you have one-handed with the Treo, on the other you always have Voice Command to correct the pain in the butt of operating the XV6700.
