Just comparing phones and I was wandering?
I was just comparing my LG 6100 to the RAZR to see if I could justify the switch and was wandering how do you hear the RAZR ring. On VZW web site it states that the 6100 has 41 ring tones and for ring tones on the RAZR is shows n/a. Now I have never counted the number of tones on my 6100 but for the RAZR to have none, man what am I paying for then.
That definitely sways my vote. If I won't be able to hear the thing ring then I'm not going to buy one.

Actually I was comparing the two and I was serious about the ringtones being listed as n/a on VZW. Now certainly I don't think that the RAZR has no ring tones, I was being sarcastic.
I would like to know how the selection is on the RAZR as far as ring tones go. And I felt sure the great posters here on scoop would pick up on that sarcasm and respond with the info once the RAZR hits the streets.

I haven't played with the razr yet, but I'm assuming it will have a few basic rings, but you'll be paying for new ringtones for sure.

Got ya... but from what I have seen on all of our new phones... the first option in ringer settings is "Get Tones".... and then a few silly ringers I would not be caught dead with, or would never hear.
Sadly enough, I would not be surprised, even though you were being sarcastic. Everything else is getting restricted so you must pay for customization....

72 polyphonic ringtones for the Verizon model. The V3c model has a lot more memory than the original V3 as well.

OK, so at least I know that I will be able to hear it ring now. I may have to buy one after a few reviews come out and the price drops to an after Christmas/first rush level. I was just given a LG 7000 so my excuse of buying an extra phone as a backup is kind of out the window.
