i don't have credit as of now (i'm only 19) so i'm trying to figure out if its better for me to just put down the deposit or go the free 2 go way

I cant speak as to the free2go service but I do know this: EVERYTHING affects credit. When the three credit reporting agencies want to run your credit to determine if your a good/bad risk they get a report back of absolutely everything with your name attached. Usually even things from other people with the same name as well; which is why you've got to be knowledgable about your credit history. Being 19 and not having financed many things (if any) will give you a shorter report, but not "worse" credit. So by default, everything on the list that shows you pay on time, will help.
