If you don't understand the technology, I will sum it up for you very briefly. GSM technology's natural progression is taking it much closer to CDMA than die hard GSM people want to admit. Now, before you jump on me and say that WCDMA has nothing to do with CDMA, I already understand that. However, GSM never had ANYTHING to do with CDMA before, now it does. WCDMA, while based on GSM technology, actually has a code division overlay which brings it closer to CDMA technology.

My prediction is that the two technologies will continue to evolve until they evolve into a techn...

Well they don't make and CDMA phones so why would they say it's any good? GSM is just a rehash of TDMA which also sucked so where's the improvement? The only reason GSM is popular in Europe is because it was invented there! I bet Airbus is popular too and if you asked someone in France about Boeing they'd tell you it's not a very good product.

Look for advice from a souce that doesn't have an interest in the outcome.
