Just curious if anyone knows how Verizon customers will get treated in RS after this year. Especially if they bought their phones from RS. We have a RS in the mall I work at and I'm wondering if I'll be getting pissed off VZW/RS customers coming in soon. Thanks for any information.

No, RadioShack will have to deal with it. I'm sure they will be giving service to their Verizon customers who have the equipment protection plans.

noooooo, when 06 begins vzw ends. warrant replacement sure they will send your phone away to be repaired. but you get a broken antenna you etter get there WHILE SUPPLIES LAST or let them send it away for 20 days. (i dont think 2 many will like that).

im POSITIVE when 06 begins all vzw account reps will be no-longer associated with rs. which means no more rs supplies. whih means they will only have the option of fixing the problem their way. which is sending the item off for 20 days.

i'm not sure about all rs's but ours don't hand out loaner phones. and definately in he last months of vw sales.

I don't think much will change at all. Beginning Jan 06 former RS customers can call customer service or go into a corporate store and bitch and complain and we will give them whatever they want. Just like all the rest.

i know that the customers that bought from radio shack will be getting mailers telling people to go into an authorized agent location to get a bonus 100-200 minutes, i guess to familiarize them with another verizon dealer. but as far as problems for insurance, i can't do anything for them.

This is why if you want the best service possible, it's best to deal with the corporate VZW stores rather than an authorized agent. I feel sorry for the customers who went through Radio Shack, but I'm glad that Radio Shack is dropping VZW, but wait 'til we start hearing complaints about Radio Shack screwing over Cingular customers. I got screwed by Radio Shack 3 years ago when I signed up for VZW thru Radio Shack. They didn't setup my contract properly and had to call VZW to get it fixed. Also NW Indiana Radio Shack stores don't offer insurance as an option. In fact, they don't want the phones insured, so if you lose your phone, then you come back to them and pay overpriced for the phone (not retail, but higher than suggested retail pri...
