several weeks ago i asked about reception issues with my lg6100 and riverdale(bronx) ny around where i live. i exchanged the 6100 3 times and the verizon tech people were useless with helping me. i called 611 and got a supervison. he offered a new fru for a lg 5200, kyosera, audiovox, and lg7000. i picked the 7000 and was told i could pick it up at a local store. went to a local store in yonkers and they were out of stock. their wearhouse was also out of stock. i finaly found one in rockland county.
the lg7000 works great so far. pain in the ass but looks like i finaly got a phone that works

I hope that I am posting this in the right place..In my opinion, when the going gets tough..Verizon screws you over! I activated service with Verizon thru Wirefly...big mistake (that I will never make again). Went thru alot of hassle in getting the phones. The day after I received the phones I started having trouble with dropped calls, failed calls & no service. Vzw tech support told me that part of the problem was that the phones were not FCC Compliant & I needed to have them replaced ASAP ( a few people at Vzw told me this which turned out not to be true). Wirefly would not replace the phones with anything comparable. I called & e-mailed Vzw telling them that I felt, since they allowed Wirefly, which I think are major scam-artists, to...

Sounds like you are in a situation that might not be able to be fully satisified. If you have a friend that has a Sam a950 and doesn't have problems, but you do...and same with all the other phones, I wouldn't know what more to take this. Maybe an E815? Those seem to get awesome reception. But beyond that, I haven't a clue. Are you holding your hand below the antenna area on the 950? If you are touching that area it would create signal problems. I had a customer that had dropped calls and such. When I asked her to show me how she held the phone while talking she had her hand covering the antenna area. I had her hold the phone below that area and try that for a couple days. She told me she hasn't had a dropped call once since.

Great response. VZW did bend over backwards for her and she is going to be one of those people that will never be satisfied. From the fact that the service was started on Wirefly (not VZW's fault that you are cheap, and also Wirefly sells phones for every carrier, not just VZW, so again, bad point), VZW was never responsible for the replacement of the phone in the first plance. Also, she started with a Moto 260 and NOW want a RAZR, just shows that she wants something for nothing. I apologize that there is marginal coverage in your area, but we would probably have to have you as a customer for 5 years just to make back the money that we have lost in exchanging phones for you. Don't bash a company that has gone above and beyond for you sa...

I haven't gotten to talk to anyone trying to get the RAZR yet. It's kind of wierd. In fact, I don't know a single person that has sold one. I'm happy it has the new UI but overall it doesn't seem that great.

However I do look forward to
say that their phone broken and they want insurance to replace it with a RAZR, or the display on their LG 3300 isn't working and they want to exchange it for a RAZR, or they just upgraded their phone 2 months ago and are upset that they have to pay $419.99 for the RAZR

This would be a fun call.

But there's FREE CHEESE IN A MOUSETRAP! 😉

It's so funny, 'cuz I get the customer like this all the time! "I've had it (3200/3330/6100 etc) for a 2 months and now I want the RazR. $420??? This is ridiculous! I would think verizon can help their customers! I can get a Tmo for a $100!"

I don't think it has anything to do with liars. It sounds like they've done all kinds of things to try and help you. The worry free guarantee and return period is 15 days. You stated you're 4 months in to the contract. They've been letting you swap phones for 4 months. I'd think after 2 or 3 you'd figure out it must either be the area you live in or you expect too much. If a rep was willing to do what you said she was doing it at her own good will. The rest of the reps are simply following policy. Getting anything without paying retail after your return period isn't going to happen very easily. MAYBE if you get the right person. Once you've lost the chance good luck getting it again unless you find someone else willing to break the...
