I was just wondering what type of position this is under Verizon? I know some companies use this as the person that meets and greets the customer but doesn't get commisions on sales. Is this what this position is? And what would be the title of the technicians in the back of the stores?

I'll take the answer to that too please. I've applied for a few job position at VZW and it would help to know what I might be getting myself into.

This is a face to face customer serive position that is located in the store. Phone book transfers, questions about bills, assisting with swapping out a phone, general issues. I'm not sure of the title for the techs that work in the back of the store. Hope this helps.

I don't believe they receive any commissions because they are not considered sales reps. They are not held to quotas for sales.

I'm not sure what you mean about 'still complain about the customers'.

No matter what type of position you have with a company, whether it be a call center, face to face customer service, sales, retail, management, etc.... you may still have complaints about customers. That is the nature of working in a customer service environment.

complain all you want. its a perk of the job no matter what position. and the techs are simply that. technicians. but you wont find them in the job listings under verizon wireless because they don't work for verizon. verizon contracts techs from a company called selectron

This position handles customer service issues in the store, they also are responsible for processing sales. Meaning that the sale rep will make the sale and then pass it off so the RCSR can complete the trasaction. There may be a slight amount of sales involved depending on staffing of the store, but very infrequently. They also will assist in the back of the house stuff such as daily audits, merchandising, ordering collateral, etc. There is no commision, just a salary. It is not a position that one would make a career out of, it is used by most to kind of "find there way" in the company.
