the 1rst Time

I've had my VZW phone for about a year and a few days now, and yesterday for the very 1rst time I saw "No Service" banner 😲 instead of the VZW banner, what happened was that I went to Lowe's and as soon as I entered the store my call dropped, a person working there told me that no cell phone works in the store due to all the metal, so I felt better, I was worried for a bit, since it is very, and I mean very rare for me to have a dropped call, when it happens it's usually on the other end. (Hint: sister has T-Mobile he he)

That's the truth. I find that happening a lot in large hardware stores. When it comes down to brass tax, the cell phone is merely more than a handheld radio and is affected by the same things that would affect those radios (tunnels, buildings, sunspot activity, etc.).

Handheld radios use an RF frequency, while mobile phones use a digital signal (most of the time). So the reception is comparably different than a handheld radio.

Also, don't forget that cell phone reception is affected by Borg disruptors and gravity wells.

Odd as this may sound, Tidal activity on the coast adversely affects AMPS, CDMA, TDMA, and GSM, so you can experience dropped calls on the beach at high tide.
