Does Verizon support "800/1900 MHz CDMA plus AMPS band." I was on Nokia's website and noticed the 6155i model which looks pretty nice and just wanted to know if it would be supported by Verizon's service.

That is not the same phone. The 6155i has more features, including a megapixel camera when the 6256i only has a 640x480 camera.

Ok...then the answer is no. The 6256 is for Verizon. The phone's software has to match what will work with the VZW system. Could you purchase a phone for Alltel and use it on the VZW system? I have seen it done, but with conflicts (dropped calls, poor signal quality, etc). And VZW techs cannot help.

So the 6256 is your closets answer. yes, it is not EXACTLY the same, but very similar. Close enough. Were you planning to use the phone for digital photography?
