I am glad Verizon got the RAZR. That will bring them back into the no 1 slot. I also like that nokia flip camera phone you all have, oh and that samsung phone with video, v cast, etc is cool too.

Verizon has finally come out with great phones!

Ohmigod, someone actually complemented vzw on their phone selection!

Run bros, its da apocalypse! 😳

(ah, not really. Someone else will get the SLVR or somethin' first, an' then it'll be back to sayin' vzw's phone selection 'sucks' 'cus they don' have one trendy phone first)

The Verizon Razr sucks because it has crippled bluetooth. Also Verizon didn't release the CDMA version first, and instead, Alltel, a carrier that tends to be behind on releasing phones beat Verizon to releasing the CDMA version, and their's is full bluetooth.

It seems that some people on this forum and howardforums have mentioned that it has OBEX enabled, and others have said it's disabled. I don't know who to believe. Anyway Motorola doesn't like crippling bluetooth and only disables it for Verizon. I have heard that Motorola has been willing to help people enable all those features. I don't know about Samsung though.

so you're saying the Razr sucks based on something you really aren't sure about.. that makes sense.. and no motorola will not go behind verizon's back and secretly enable OBEX on moto phones that weren't launched with it.. what are you smoking?

It only sucks if you care about bluetooth a lot. Many people, probably a majority, don't. For them, the Verizon Razr is a very good phone.. I'm hearin' a lotta good things about it, to the point where I'm tempted to get one.

I say this as someone who's got a vzw Nokia 6256, which does have full bluetooth.

Also, some folks say the vzw razr DOES actually have obex, despite what vzw says. Strange.

I've tested the OBEX, it worked. But it's not the point, the point is, if someone doesn't like the phone selection - leave! Don't brag how unlucky you are. Besides if the phone doesn't have an OBEX (witch by the way requires a BT enabled computer or $40 for the BT adapter) one can always buy a cable for like $10 on a eBay and upload whatever desires! Like I've done with my vx6000, vx7000, vx8000, vx8100, E815...

SystemSho, it's not about you! 🙂

the ONLY reason I haven't jumped on the Razr bandwagon is because of the lack of expandable memory.. I use my 815's mp3 player quite often and with the 512 mb card, you can't go wrong
