I've had no problems at all moving mp3s and pictures to my v3c from my computer and vice versa... 😁 😁 😁

But you're not doing it via the BlueTooth OBEX fie, which was the point of the discussion. I love my Nokia 6256i, which is the ONLY fully enabled BlueTooth phone with Verizon. My photo files transfer in a flash with BlueTooth, such that sometimes I take pix with my phone rather than with my Canon digital powershot if I know I am going to send the pix in email. The file transfer with BlueTooth is faster and less involved than file transfers with my FireWire cable. (I did it the other day, actually.)

If I wasn't doing it via bluetooth, then why would I have posted in this thread? OBEX works fine on mine!...of course phone - phone tranfers don't work because of the lack of OPP, but that doesn't really matter to me.

This is big news to me because everyone who has posted on this topic has said that the CDMA VzW Moto V3c does NOT have an enabled OBEX for file transfers.
Actually if what you say is true, then I consider it GOOD news. -Lorna

Dear JLS,
I am not the most techie person here, but until someone else replies, here goes:

I have an iMac, also with a BlueTooth dongle/adapter. Although I was afraid it would be a hard, complex thing to do, the pairing went easily. I found the BlueTooth folder in my hard drive and followed the instructions 1, 2, 3, and it was done! Easy! You say that the V3c and the Dell recognized your pho...

Lorna:

There is no Bluetooth Send function on the Verizon V3c. Your Nokia 6256i is the only VZW model with Object Push.

The 'OBEX' that everyone is talking about is really file transfer (FTP) that you must initiate with a computer on the V3c.

On the [Cingular] V3 RAZR, you can Copy to Bluetooth. You can also send pictures from phone-to-phone.

Yeah, I didn't expect it to have it so I was surprised to see that it worked when I tried. I just got the cheapo Wal-Mart $20 bluetooth usb adapter and it worked like a charm. If you have Win XP SP2 then you have to change the default windows drivers to ones that come with the adapter, but once that is done it works! 😎

This is very good news, then. Maybe VzW is loosening up and allowing more phones to actually have a fully enabled BlueTooth.

Wait a second:

Are you saying that you have OBEX enabled, such that you can do photo and music file transfers? Or are you saying that you have the BlueTooth profile which allows for hands free usage with a BlueTooth earbud?

Handsfree - Yes
OBEX - Yes

Perhaps I have not made it clear. I CAN do music and picture transfers. Transfers are no problem. Simple copy and paste. I've filled up over half my memory already... Gotta love getting those free ringtones. Get it now is for suckers! 🤣 🤣

As you might or might not know, the Nokia 6256i cannot play MP3 ringtones! 😢 I consider this a small, tiny bad thing, though. The reception is very very good and I love talking with my BlueTooth earbud.

Yeah, the 9900 looks like a great phone; the first OBEX capable handset with BREW.

Why are the other ones still crippled? They figured how to apply DRM to the GIN, and lock down the ringtones.
