info about new samsun a930
i recently was eligible for the new every two and was excited about the new razr so i went and got it from a verizon store, but the sales rep advised me to carry around my charger with me because he said you do not get more than 90 min talk time on it and he was right. so after a few days i returned it and started looking at the new nokia flip phone, but it is really ugly looking. so as of now i have 6 months to use my new every two before i lose out on it. i was looking at the e815 but it is a big phone and it is not that new. so i was wondering if anyone had more specific info on the release of the samsung a930 or pics of it. or any other new non-pda type phones coming out soon for verizon. thanks a lot a head of time.

lol whats wrong with your RAZR, 90 mins of talk time. Thats crazy. I get more talk time with my RAZR and I use the bluetooth headset all the time.

i didn't even get 90 min with my razr, and i live in nyc, where it is constantly in EV mode and i don't use any bluetooth and i checked to make sure the bluetooth signal was off. you think i should get it again and give it another try. just wondering how often you charge your phone and how much you talk on it per day.

have you tried setting your phone to 1x only instead of 1x/EVDO? i have a samsung 950 and by default its in 1x/EVDO. i needed to recharge almost daily. i then found out how to switch to 1x only and now recharge every 3ed day.

i read into turning off the evdo on the razr on howard forums, and it was supposedly risky and not something i wanted to try on a phone that most probably was gonna return, i didn't want to mess up the phone and have verzon not take it back and be stuck with a $300 paper weight. by the way how do you like the samsung 950? it looks like a good phone, but the combination of the size and redness of the phone kind of turned me away. but i am intrigued by the 930 coming out soon.

the 950 is a nice phone. it is very good with holding a signal. i use a verizon leather cover that covers the read part of the phone. you can read more info about the 950 on the phone section of phonescoop. it has some issues but works well enough for me to keep it.

anybody have anymore pics of the phone, maybe from a side view to see how thick it is, some of the websites say it is similar to the blade which would def. be cool. and does anyone know its release date more specific than Q1 2006 which can be anywhere from next week till the end of march. thanks much appreciated.
