Pinpointing Coverage

Is there a resource available to pinpoint Verizon's towers and which signals are available for specific locations?

We switched to VZ in January and we get spotty coverage and dropped calls in Chicago, especially in our home near Wrigley Field. Former carrier was Nextel and we rarely had a dropped call or no signal. That said, we're now committed to VZ and aren't planning on switching back.

Does the quality of the phone dictate the strength of the signal? We have two phones, LG6000 (digital) and the Audiovox 8900 (tri).

TIA for your input.

Feel free to call 611 and say "Find where the towers are in my area, my zip code is: xxxxx" The rep should be able to give you a very good idea of where the towers are in your area if you are in VZW's footprint. If you are in Extended or Analog area, then we can't see the tower locations, only the coverage.

Just be polite and patient! ;P
