VZW employees should not be on any message board talking about upcoming products, programs, or sharing any information that has not been released to the public...check the confidentiality statement you signed when you were hired. I definitely understand coming on to this website because we can access it from work, but it will only cause customer's expectations to be set unrealistically. If you don't think IT is monitoring these sites and the web, you are mistaken. We have great jobs, don't jeopardize yours because you want to pick a fight with an uninformed consumer.

I am a customer of VZW and I find the people on this forum either employees or not, to be extremely helpful. Since it is your policy of not relaying any info on your products, this is the only way an outsider like myself can find some that is helpful. You should have a web page indicating the progress of new phones and their status as well, it would ease a lot of tensions that build up by the lack of communications.

I agree. I am simply referring to emp. talking about tentative phone releases and salaries.

Salaries can be found easily on other websites. Tentative phone releases are just that "tentative".

Also, can you even prove that you work for Verizon Wireless?

For all anybody knows you just happened to figure out the screen name that you are using was available.

Plus, if those two topics are in fact covered in the Confidentiality Statement that everyone was required to sign, then its not a violation of Corporate Security, it would be considered an act of Industrial Espionage.

Im not going to argue or respond to your need for me to prove anything. I am simply looking out for the best interests of our customers and our employees. I would hate for anyone to get some "inside information" on this website, and for one of our front line employees to have to deal with an upset customer who got some bad information. Believe me, its covered in our paperwork required upon commencement of employment. It's just a bad idea for any of our employees to try and represent the company on a message board.

So you're telling people to not do exactly what you're doing? Interesting.

🙄

If it's that serious, why doesn't IT block the URL to https://www.phonescoop.com/forums/ to avoid this situation. I'm sure they block everything else besides job affiliated websites. Besides, most employees that are posting here are front line employees (i.e. NOBODIES) in the company. That don't know "sensitive" information to give out to begin with, "management" boy. Now take a walk.

If the release date of new phones causes you that much tension maybe you should find something better to do with your time...

I did by responding to the what VZW management wrote. Maybe you should try the same instead of acting like a total nitwit.

Not that he's incorrect, but... if he really were VZW management he'd be circulating this internally rather than posting on a forum board.
By the way, my friend, I never signed any confidentiality agreement. 🙂

Yep. That's exactly why I don't say anything on these forums that I wouldn't tell customers in the store. I'm in sales, bu...

Oh, one more thing - Three times now I have been referred to this site by none other than Verizon Customer Care (regarding phone launches). Why would they do that if they did not see this site as a reasonable source of information? They wouldn't And where does much of this information come from? Verizon employees of course. Such a vicious circle! LOL

Looks like you need to stop the bleeding INSIDE of Verizon so it doesn't leak out to the rest of us.

Well the main issue with employees going to this site are the fact that the release dates of our products and services are being given out.

It's not that we shouldn't be on this site, again, the problem is with some of the information that...
