Sorry Guys as much as I like Verizon Wireless if this happens in the USA I will port over my 10 lines in a blink. 😉

Fierce Wireless--1-5-06--T-Mobile in Germany launched perhaps the most aggressive move we've seen yet when it comes to promoting high-speed data services. The operator plans to start selling laptops integrated with HSDPA beginning in March when it introduces the high-speed data services. If T-Mobile decides to subsidize the laptops by about *500 ($605), which it probably should to spur adoption, German customers could purchase the Fujitsu Siemens computers for around *100 ($121) when they sign a two-year contract.

They're gonna subsidize by $605 over a 2-year contract?? Most phones get subsidized only like a third that much over 2 years, even data-rich phones.

So wouldn't T-M stand to lose its shirt on a deal like that?

Not only that, they'll also have to deal with all the morons calling in wanting free upgrades on their laptop because they've been loyal customers for 3 months. 🤣

Take into account how much data service will cost in Europe....They pay out the ass for service there. Usually they get more expensive phones than us for free, but a 450 minute plan is like 80 f.uckin dollars US. Their data will be like $150 a month for HSDPA I'm sure. At that price, they can cut off a ton of the upfront to sign you up for subscriptions.

Ok, that makes more sense. Also kinda means that that big a discount won't be happenin' in the US, though, since our data is cheaper.
