VZW V710 Settlement Update
Has anyone else filled out the SECOND settlement form? I received my and did, but realized it is nearly identical to the first. What's the deal? I bet we will get to fill one of these out for every appeal VZW will make instead of just righting the situation.
I've selected to return the phone, since I knew after I had purchased it and went through enough loops with vzw that it would end up in the courts. I decided to wait it out hoping vzw will learn a lesson...maybe that was a bad choice. I should have just switched to cingular then and taken a hit on reliability. I too got this settlement form to sign. I originally bought my V710 the first day it came out Aug 30 2004. But since then I had found out about a recall on the first batch of V710's having issues with the camera focus or something. So I brought my 710 into Verizon this past July and they were going to replace my 710 but had none in stock at any of their warehouses at the time. Fortunately they gave me an E815 without any contract extension or additional cost to me. But I decided to up my plan to a family share plan 2 weeks later anyway. So now I have an E815 and a different plan. How will that affect me. Do I just return my E815 for my V710 refund? I am ready to get an XV6700, so this would be nice. But I may consider going to Sprint since t...

At first I'd assume you wouldn't be included in the case since you've already exchanged the V710. But if they sent you a form, I guess you could be included. You won't be able to return the V710 for a full refund obviously since you have already exchanged it. But I guess you might get the $25 credit. If you didn't fill out the first form that was sent you've already excluded yourself legally from the case. Here:

if you printed a form off of vzw web site and sent it in .and just received another form.make certain to fill this 2nd form out and send in. the forms have claim numbers on them.and first people who sent in forms with out claim numbers on them got pitched. but this is also how it was shown that 62000 plus people was excluded from the suit and why vzw had to send out forms to those people. waiting to find out for people who got e815 as replacements for v710 if they only will qualify for the 25.00 back part or if will be able to return the 815 in place of v710. should know something in morning with my message to court.

I printed both off and just filled out the claimant info. They can identify me as being in the suit by my phone number I am assuming. Is this correct?
