New Every 2 phone return

Megan311

Jan 18, 2006, 1:47 PM
I just upgraded my phone with the new every 2 thing, and I also did it on-line which gave me a 50 dollar discount making the cost of the phone free. I got the CDM 8940. I am not happy with the phone in general, but also my screen keep freezing. I just recieved the phone yesterday. My first question is am I going to be able to do a in store exchange/return even though I upgraded on their website? My second question is since I am not thrilled with the phone overall will they give me the chance to get a different phone all together or just a new CDM 8940?

Thanks to anyone who has any answers for me.

Nope, not at all! online orders that are bought through MY ACCOUNT will not be able to be exchanged at a local corp vz store! there are m&p's about it because the distributions on those phones are different than if bought locally or even through cs! you may have also noticed that you can NOT bill a phone to your account when done online with MY ACCOUNT like you could at a local store or even with cs over the phone, same reason being the difference on that option!

Megan311, you will need to ship the phone back using the prepaid return label that it came with AND once the phone is confirmed back (by tracking # so keep your end of the return label), cs

actually the m&p states that "whenever possible" phone must be sent back through same channel when sent from direct fufillment - which is customer service. my account orders are considered the same a telesales which is vzw's over the phone activation and yes it can be returned at a corp store

In terms of your NE2 return, you'd have to return it by mail. Then you can go to the store and redeem the upgrade or contact Customer Service over the phone to get another one as the online service only allows for one upgrade. Customer Service/Stores will acknowledge the return and reset the date.

As for the phones, you've earned the NE2. So get the phone you want. My personal suggestion, stay away from Audiovox. They are terrible phones. Go LG 4650, 5200, 8100, or 9800, Motorola 815, or even Samsung A-950. You'll get more out of either one of them. It sucks about the online thing, but that's sadly something that I don't forsee changing.

🙂 really? not in my experience. I got a bunk phone in the mail and went right to the store and swaped it.

I should correct that statement. generally, it's done by mail. But it can be store depending. Some are cool with it, while others can be royal douches.
