My 1yr contract expired and I am on month to month. I plan to stay with Verizon and have no problem signing a 2yr. So...
1)should I sign a 2yr? - If I sign a 1yr, I can get a discount in 10 months
2)can I use an indirect agent since I am month to month?
3)Should I sign up again through VZW without buying a new phone? or should I get a new phone and sell it on ebay? or should I get a new phone and sell my current v710? (I don't use bluetooth or anything right now.

Yes you can upgrade at an indirect store.
The benefit to signing a 2 year is that you will get the $100 credit in 22 months and the new phone you purchase now will be cheaper.
If you do not need a new phone now, and yours is working well, then you might want to stay month to month until there is a need for a new phone (ex: you loose it or it breaks), that way, you save your upgrade until then.
I would not get a new phone and sell that on ebay if it was me, because if you sign a new contract and something happens to you 710 before you are eligible to upgrade again, you will be kicking yourself in the butt if you need to purchase a phone at full retail, unless you have insurance of course!!

agreed, if you are content with your 710 then just go month to month. I personally always sighn one year agreements so i can get a new phone earlier, it costs a little more if you go that way but you can et the latest supposedly greatest discounted every ten months.

If you are happy and content...don't do a thing. Think of being able to upgrade like a get out of jail free card. Use it when you have to. You can always change plans to any current promotion if that current plan is better then what you have. That would require a contract...but won't change your eligibility for a phone upgrade. If you just want the newest to keep up with the Jones' or you want something that a newer phone model offers that yours doesn't...then sure, upgrade. As far as keeping or selling. If you sell yours...keep the money you made and set it aside in case you need to buy another phone off of ebay. Or...keep your phone as a back-up. Your call.
