Local Choice Vs. America's Choice?
Now if your on a "local" plan - I can see being charged for roaming.
But I picked America's choice - so I have to pay for roaming? Isnt Verizon all across the country? And if Im calling from my home on the cell - Verizon has no long distance?!
Im not sure Im gonna keep this if thats the case.
Now is there a way to turn off the roaming on the phone so that you wont "mistakenly" roam and be charged?

Depending on the phone you change the setting on the network part of it to home only, but beware it will only pick up vzw network not extended coverage areas. That's a way of avoiding roaming charges. But the way America's Choice is working it's works really good.
So if you pick up "extended coverage areas" - that is not roaming?

The plan itself, Americas Choice, has those carries included on the plan so you don't get roaming charges. So when you go there and we don't provide service thats when those other carries (extended network) goes into place. The only time you get roaming charges is on areas that we don't have roaming agreements with that carrier. It is imp
