I have had problems before with Bluetooth syncing in cars.

I want to be sure before I recommend this phone to someone.

Lexus.com has a link that takes you to Letstalk.com but only GSM phones are shown.

What do you mean bump the thread?

I thought this was the right place to ask the question.

I thought this was the right place to ask the question.

What he means is that Verizon disables the Motorola Bluetooth feature that lets you push contacts from their phones intentionally, and that it has been talked about, sued about and ranted about so many times that everybody is sick of hearing about it.

I know about the phone book. What about voice?

I had a customer with a Blackberry 7290, it would not work in a BMW 750i. He got the Audiovox PDA from Cingular that did not work. We finally got the Razr to work because it was compatible with the bluetooth in the BMW.

So will a Motorola E815 work in a Lexus?

Yes, the E815 will work in a Lexus for voice, one touch buttons, steering wheel send/end and the other features shown here:

yes it will, I have a 2006 IS250 AWD and i have personlly hooked it up to the car. It won't take the contacts but the phone does work on it. I have hooked every Verizon Wireless bluetooth phone on the market up to it and tested it out.

The post was asking about synching, not pairing the handsfree profile.

Of course all of the BT phones in America have handsfree ability.

I have a 2005 Lexus LS430 and yes, Verizon BT phones will work with the vehicle. So far I have used a Motorola V710 and a Razr V3C with no issue. The only negative is that due to Verizon's restrictions, you can not upload your phonebook to the car. The work-around is to get a GSM (look at the letstalk.com website) phone, activated or nor, put in the numbers you want and then upload it to the car. That's what I did and it works fine. There are other limitations such as call waiting, etc., but the phone will work with the lexus.

All this said, I just leased a Subaru Outback for my son and it did not have BT so I bought the Motorola BLNC IHF1000 car kit and it is awesome! I like it much better than the BT "built in" setup in the Lexus.
