Hey everyone.I am a faithful Verizon Customer from Chicago and its time for my upgrade(next week). I was checking out the camera phones and I cant seem to find one that has solid call quality and a nice camera.Im torn between the Audiovox 8900,the LGV6000,and the new Samsung a670 which seems to be very popular. If someone could help me I would really appreciate it. 😕

wait a little bit longer. There are 2 new models coming out soon. The LG7000 (june 25th): which will put the 6000 to shame, and the Motorola V710 which is about a month away. Stay away from the 8900; too many bugs and it's flimsy. The samsung 670 is a solid choice. I like that phone alot and it's very compact. Still wait though to get everything on the table at the same time then decide.....hope this helps.

Yeah, the 8900 is so flimsy that one of my customers sent it through her washing machine and it still worked after it dried out.

Thanx yall. I checked out the new Motorola and its HOT!I really like that phone but honestly I cant wait that long for a new phone,my current phone(Kyocera 2325)is on its last leg and the people at my Verizon store arent doing anything to help me.So since my upgrade day is next Friday the 25th Im thinking about the new LG,though Im not to thrilled about its looks I may go with it if not it will be the A670.Has anyone had major problems with that phone(a670) yet?

The A670 (and A650, BTW) seem to be pretty solid, but it's still early in the product's lifecycle. The serious issues with the T720 didn't start coming out for a month or so, as I recall. I like the A670 even without the camera fe...

compared to the rest of the models out there, it is. Try it yourself and compare it with the other model camera phones. I work at VZW. We have a program that lets you borrow all the new models for about a week then return them. I've tried them all. I'll say it again; "THIS IS JUST A OPINION" The quality of the phone is the worst of them all.

I bought the 8900 because it was the only phone available at the time that had two major features I wanted, tri-mode and a speakerphone.

Unfortunately, the biggest downside to this phone is the the sound quality is horrendous. The incoming sound is tinny and if I lower the volume it's completely inaudible. Forget the speakerphone - it doesn't project sound at all. Even with a headset the sound transmission is weak at best.

The complaint I have with the other non-essential (to me) features is that it takes lousy pictures and has really cheesy built-in graphics.

Just my .02 - avoid settling for this phone.
