Bye verizon

Verizon has lost me forever. They might be signing up a lot of people but that means nothing to me. There phones are the biggest pieces of junk I have ever used. There polices have become so restrictive you can’t use them for anything but voice. There used to be a time when verizon was the only reasonable choice for business users who relied heavily of voice calls but that time has changed. Too many rules have driven me away. Do yourself a favor and never look at any other carrier’s phones or listen to what real sound quality is. Once technology advances even more and the common cell phones users figures out how many thing they can’t do, verizon will loose their ass. Verizon blows

Why can't more people be like you? Most people would respond with mean comments, but your comment was very graceful and mature. Kudos to you. 🙂

It is obvious that Verizon only cares for net adds and doesn’t really have many features because its ARPU isn’t that high compared to other companies out there, but their net adds and churn speak for their great growth. If you leave, it wont bother them because I bet they will get tons more subscribers anyway. People obviously know that Verizon isn’t known for their phones or features but their network sells because it is the best.

Verizon wont lose anything my friend, just because you left and that is a foolish thing to say.

By the way it is time to change your handle, becuase it is the "trademark" of verizon's.

Yes, Verizon has low ARPU (voice and data) for the past 3 years based on the net ads and that was the basic argument on my part.

$48 and $49 are actually low ARPU numbers. I can say that they had good ARPU numbers because that is true for a carrier who just is there for their network and not many other goodies that people sign on. (Rate increases etc...)

So again, based on the 3 years with net ads and ARPU growth especially with voice, indicates to me that they don’t care about voice Arpu or else they would have been trying to raise it instead of it being the same for the past 3 years.

As mentioned before being in the same boat as Cingular isn’t a very good thing to compare you too.

Again, your remarks is showing that you...

Well why are you laughing? If I send him to Cingular he will have a far worse experience than here in Verizon, and if I send him to Sprint, they will shut off his phone if he does not pay on time, not to mention he will mostly be roaming on Verizon, and if I send him to Nextel....oh I better stop while I am ahead.

So that leaves T-Mobile.

If voice and data are both very important to you and if you can go without all the 3g phones for the time being, give Cingular a try, they offer great voice and data coverage.

Sorry to hear of your frustration...but, coming from a background of selling Verizon, Cingular, VoiceStream / T-Mobile, AT&T, Bell South, Nextel, Alltel, Sprint, and Cricket all in the past, I must tell you that no matter where you go, you will NOT be 100% happy. Every carrier has it's flaws. Hate to say it, but they do. Verizon has the best coverage, PERIOD. The phones may not be as "cool" as the gsm phones out there, but they are not pieces of junk either. In fact, Verizon puts their phones through a LOT of testing before they are released, that's why thier phones stay on the market a LOT longer than gsm phones. Not bashing here, but Cingular, and especially T-Mobile release their phones WAY too quick (not enough testing) and have a lot of...

I left for the exact same reasons. I feel great now knowing that my bluetooth works to it's full capacities, that I can download ringtones where I choose, that when I buy a Motorola phone I get a Motorola user interface, when I buy a Samsung I get a Samsung UI and so on.....

Sure VZW CS has been really good but their corp. decision making lost me and my 23 employees. 🙂

I have gone to Sprint and can say that in 2 weeks of travel I have no coverage problems. Call carity seems to be the same as VZW, CS I really have not used yet, but for what it might be worth I have not heard much bad at all on the Sprint forums compared to Cingular.

Bye

Ok. But don't ever travel to Leesburg VA or that VZW phone will drop calls like a hot potato. Have been at my sisters home for one week and dropped at least 12+ calls.

I think the only way to have 100% coverage is to have a VZW, Cingular, Sprint and T-Mobile phone.

I was done with verizon last september. Not because of their stupid rules (they are stupid) but I could not get coverage in my house. I switched to sprint and have had no problems. On the other hand my brother just upgraded to and 815 and everytime I call him or he calls me he has a lot of static and the call drops in the middle.
I have the feeling that verizon customers are going to realize that other cell phone companies are really not that much different.
I will not go back to verizon.

Good Luck with whoever you are with.

Now in all honesty, think about how stupid you sound! "don’t be a hater: " How could I possibly hate on you! I have a very nice Moto Razr My Fiance has a very nice Moto Razr. I get incrediable service and recpetion plus my paychecks say Vzw on them. What in the world would possibly make me hate on someone with a sprint blade I could honestly care less If you have Bum **** barb's wireless. You are not going to make or break my paycheck! I just found it rude that you would come to the Vzw forum (especially with your sn) and talk about I left Vzw LOLLOLLOLOL So i decided to repond with facts! So please forgive for hating on you! 🙄

That’s what I'm getting; glad to hear you like it. The blade is an amazing phone, my sister has it and I just have to have it too. I don't like verizons UI and it’s too bad they will continue with it.
