Which would you choose??

Ok, I am currently a Cingular customer, will stay that way too. But am now seriously considering adding a Verizon account. I got 4 phones in mind, and would like some personal opinion on what some loyal VZW customers think is best. The new Vx-9800, the Moto E815, the Samsung A950, or the LG VX8100. I know this is a broad question, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't think the 9800 is better than the 815? Keep in mind you can't base everything off of that consumer reports article because it didn't review the 8100, 950, 970, 9800 or the RAZR.

It was just recently my time to upgrade, and these were the EXACT four phones I considered. I went with the 8100. The E815 does have great reception, but that phone is a has-been. VZW isn't releasing any new services for it. VCAST Music, the upcoming navigation tool, and anything else coming down the pike will will never be offered on the 815. Go with any of the three OTHER phones. They're all on the new UI that VZW will be using from now on. I almost went for the A950, but heard some bad things about the internal antenna, and I didn't like the bulky, awkward feel of the V9800. So, I marked it the 8100. It's not very sexy, but it's a great phone that takes full advantage of nearly everything that VZW is offering.

I see someone else thinks like I do, however, I would only choose Verizon for mostly voice and texting to other Verizon customers. All my data and internet stuff would be with my 6682 with Cingular. So yes I know the Moto has been out for awhile but still seems like a quality phone. I wonder why VZW cripples the bluetooth in their phones so you can't send your pics to your computer via that method. Cingular doesn't do that.

Well you would have to buy a memory card and a card reader. You don't have to do any of that with Cingular. So my original question, is - why does Verizon cripple that profile??? And you didn't give a satisfactory answer.

Listen to you. I am going to sign up with Verizon, and keep my Cingular too. I am not trolling. I asked a question. If you don't have an intelligent answer, please STFU. Thank you

Icyhot,
He gave you an answer regarding the issue you mentioned. It might not have been the answer you wanted, but it was a answer so you should not be an a$$hole to someone trying to help you.

Icyhot, they disable that profile of bluetooth so they cannot be found in breach of contract with their Get It Now providers. Verizon is not permitted to allow any features on their phones that allow free transfer of GIN applications. Its basically a way to increase revenue.

Anyone that buys a phone at wirefly, walmart or any of those big box stores or online stores is a communist and I hope the company you work for moves their office to Canada or Mexico and you lose your job.
Oh? Its ok if you cut the balls off the working man to save money, but if someone does it to you or it effects your income or job its not ok?

but I say go with the 815. It's not going to get the VCM, but hey, since it'll play .mp3's from the memory card, who the F! cares about having to PAY for music? I like the original UI, i'm comfortable in a Motorola enviornment. Granted none of the newer toys are going to come out for the phone, bu hey, it's the last phone to support .mid's as well. I have about 2hrs of .mids on my phone as well as the .mp3's and my videos. I don't see myself going through my day anymore without my dose of robot chicken or chobits in-store.
