when is my contract up?

RAP

I can't remember when my contract for my wireless modem is up. Other than calling or going intothe store, is there a wayto tell from my bill or the their web site?

It's on your original contract unless you've updated the contract. Every time you update your contract end date, VZW sends you a letter to tell you your new contract end date. If you are the type of person that keeps this paperwork, just go back and look at it. Otherwise, you'll need to call 611 and ask "When is my contract up?."

Yeah, and as soon as they hear that question it's the full court press to try and convince them not to cancel... I've watched and heard customers make that call from my store, and its hilarious. 🙂

Hmm, I never go into "save mode" unless the customer actually says, "I'm thinking about canceling" or "I might cancel." If they just ask the CED then I just tell them. After all, it's their right to know. I'll clairify the difference between upgrade eligibility date and CED too.

Thanks

I went back to the paperwork and found the date.

I satisfied my contract re. the purchase of my equipment. I did reenter a contract in order to get a lower monthly rate for the same service. If my contract is not linked to the purchase of equipment, is there a penalty if I now wanted to purchase new equipment?

No. If you're 10 (1 yr contract) or 22 months (2 yr) out from the date you first entered a contract, you should be eligible for an upgrade. You might have to ask the CSR to look back at the original date, but if I remember correctly, they fixed the bug that made the date wrong in the system a while back.

when it comes to your equip and contract date you really have two dates. if you change your rate plan in the middle of your contract it is not going to change your equip upgrade date just b/c you are extending it b/c of promos. unless you do get a phone for promo pricing somehow then it would renew your contract date as well. but other than that, your actual equip upgrade date should never change unless you get promo pricing on the phone, or oops program, or any other fators that would apply. hope that clears it up for you
