Blackberry 7250 & EVDO

The blackberry 7250 comes EVDO ready. Verizon disabled it for whatever reason. According to the brain trust at customer service they are rolling out the 7250 software upgrade to certain markets. Not available in the NE yet.
Anyone out there in the universe hear about this yet, if so where are you?

yup, in ohio. The software update should be soon, they announced it soon after the release of the 7130
