All Verizon Reps.....

indirect, corp, or retail can answer this.

What do you think of the new data packages Verizon is offering on Monday?

$10 unlimited in with 500 extra messages is a lot of extra messages. We here in nowhere wyoming might have a lot of trouble selling that plan.

donno. I think it sucks that we're not going to get the default data sale with the RBT on the 10+ plans. if it wasn' for that I'd have even less data sales than what I have right now.

Why would have trouble selling that package? Seems like a good value compared to the current $10.00 offer.

Like I said...nowhere wyoming where the average age of the popualtion is 45-50. We have hard enough time selling data as it is.

i just like the fact that the new msgs include pix/flix.....if people dont need the access 50 for outside then get the standard $5 for 250 to anyone....if they need more then just get the $10 that includes in...i dont see the issue.

yeah i am up in the air on this one. The plan itself is much better than the old $10 in bundle, but just like when they dropped the 59.99 share plans they are going to cut light users out of the package. I wish verizon would just stop this gradually rate hiking bs. Yes i know apru is woderful and the higher is better, but when it comes to income made from your customer a little is better than nothing and i think a lot of people that would have taken the $5 package will pass on these now. Oh well, just bundle 100 text and 20 pix for 2.99 each for the low end users out there.

I agree there and bundle ringback tones with that..for $6.97. should be a good value pack.

Thanks.

i was under the impression they were ditching the old non-bundled plans all together. As in these are the ONLY text/pix options. I'll have to check on that...

Wait - Sprint roams onto Verizon for free? And their plans are cheaper? What's the catch? Why aren't we there?

And yet your post was so apropos. VZW is jumping the shark with these new text plans and some of their other soon-to-be-imposed regulations. The new 2-tiered NE2, and the retarded (bordering on illegal) new deactivation policy that goes into effect next week aren't going to sit well with people. If I were a customer and my contract was up, I'd seriously think of bailing. And with Sprint's roam thingy, why not?

as far as the text plans go they need a boost so this is good to some extent. The $20 variation should be totally unlimited i think it would sell like hot cakes. the $5 version should maintain it's unlimited in and have maybe 100-200 extra. as far as the new decativaion policy. it's not that big of deal you paid for that month already so use it if your porting your account cancels right away i don't see the grip here it's just being simplified with a rule. and the ne2 is just matching what everyone else is doing. allthough i think that was one place where we had the edge and i kinda of liked it for myself especially where now i will drop down to $50 NE2... ☹️ and sprints no roam yea what a joke... it's not there network verizon customer...

I'm with ya on that one I thought they'd finally catch the bus and offer some type of unlimited text even if it's more expensive than the next guy the word unlimited (and not just IN ) sales itself.

The new deactivation policy is a joke. If I call to cancel something, I want it cancelled right away, not at the end of the month. And check your facts again about porting. If the bill cycle is on the 25th, and you port on the 2nd, you're still going to owe until the 25th. There won't be a refund. That's why it sounds (and in fact IS) shady as f**k. This one is going to drive escalations through the roof.

If you port out, that stops the billing since there is no longer an active phone. Anyone that ports will get a credit for the remainder of the bill cycle. Also you are still allowed to cancel effective any day of the last bill cycle you are in contract if you insist on getting...

it should also be known that the $50 for ne2 on lower rice plans won't really affect anyone till dec 5 of '07. People who currently (ie feb 4th and before)have service on a primary plan $34.99 and higher will still get $100 on their next (and only their next) upgrade. people signing up feb 5th and after will have to deal with the new rules. most people won't notice the difference anyway, they get the $100 phone with the $50 rebate anyway, so we only give the $49.99 off the phone anyway. I do agree that features should be added into you plan, but honestly it would just get too messy. People would tack on the $20 text for a month or 2 just to get the extra off the phone (not that it would save them any money, but you know someone would try it...

I felt like a fricking idiot today telling this lady who called in to cancel that her service will be on until March 5th. Her bill cycle started today. Hey at least VZW is getting an extra 39.99 out of her! WOO HOO!

Sprint roams onto Verizon for free...

in areas that Sprint does not cover. In areas that Sprint has service a phone's PRL will not allow a Sprint customer to go onto VZW network.

There is a $5.00 plan for 250. It might be "off sheet" pricing but it is available. Just like America's Choice 2 300 minutes.

rumor has it there is still going to be a $5 off sheet option. It will not be one of the In-MSG options, this will replace the 2.99/100 txt, 4.99/40 pix, etc.

Guess we will just have to wait and see.

I think that this is utter BS, and sucks ballz. I sale phones for verizon, and taggin $5 on for the Unlimited IN was an easy sale, but telling ppl they need to spend an extra $10 instead of $5 is going to be a lot harder. Normally ppl who get the $5 Unl IN get it becuase EVERYONE they know is Verizon, so the extra 450 texts you get with the $10 package does not justify the $5 increase for a very high percentage of customers. VZW is getting friggin greedy, and its costing us low end sales rep money as well since we can't sell sh*t. Hell I am thinking of working for AmpD lol, they may be new but at least they haven't messed up all their prices to make more money and say f*ck the customer.

Typical VZW. They want higher ARPU so they eliminate the lower data plans. Using abstract numbers, here is what they are saying. We would rather sell 1000 data packages at 10.00 each, then sell 3000 data packages for 5 bucks each.
