Anybody have reception problems with new Treo 700w?

Just wondering if anyone else has had reception problems with the new Treo 700w?
I bought mine last week and have noticed that the reception was pretty bad in some areas that I had no problems in before. And, sometimes when sending my stored voicemail password, it would not accept it.
I was very concerned about this and I know that after 15 days, the store won't even talk to you. So, today I went and swapped it out for another new one and it seems about the same. This time, I went back to the exact same spot and conducted calls on my V710 and Treo 700w side by side and the v710 is the clear winner. The Treo was choppy and dropped the call where the v710 held the call and the other party reported much better audio. Also, ...

Okay, two treos exibiting low signal issues. alternet handset exibitin no problems in same ares. There are diferances in signal i've noticed in handsets/manufacturers. So I would think you are better off with the 710.

Don't these phones have to meet all kinds of criteria, etc. to be certified by the FCC and/or Verizon? I am just surprised that there seems to be such an obvious difference in the hands of the end user. I would expect minor variations, etc., when examined on test equipment but not one phone sounds good and the other one can barely make a call in the same spot.
