I have both, I choose to carry the 8100 and gave the moto to the wife, i didn't like the way the alarm clock was set up on moto, I also liek the fact you can customise the 8100 more, video walpaper on inner and outer display. I also use the mp3 player on my 8100 and it is much more user friendly than the mp3 player on the moto. Speakerphone about the same on both, but on moto you can use it with phone closed. Battery life is about the same. Bluetooth headset profile is a little better on moto, but call clarity on actual phone is better on my 8100. I also just like the feel and look of the 8100 better. If you want a phone to be a phone 1st and play toy second, the Moto is the phone for you. And it is very reliable...just read all the reviews on the phone. The voice commands on the 8100 areso freaking tedious that by the time you say "yes" 50 million times you could have dialed the number 50 times over. The Moto's voice commands are so much easier. I have the 815 and my wife has the 8100. I get reception in alot of areas she doesn't...including the basement of our house. I can make and...

Also think about where you are goin to be carrying it.

If you work in an industrial setting like I do.. the Motorola is way to flimsy and a lot cheaper feeling than my 8100. I tried it before I decied on the 8100 and I just knew the Motorola 815 would break easily.

Really? I have sold alot of the E815's to people that are tough as crap on phones and have had zero complaints. I have also had zero complaints on the 8100. Now the LG VX5200 and the Moto V276...there are two big POS phones!
