That phone is just like every verizon phone, know need to wait. The razr is the better phone. If you are looking for something unique you won't find it at verizon. All future verizon phones will have that disgusting UI. Sorry ☹️

Phoeneex didn't say anything about the UI, but definately said NO RAZR. You just said the 930 is just like every other Verizon phone, so how could the RAZR be better?

Anway....Phoeneex, to answer your question, they are saying Q1 2006, which could be anywhere from now until March. That could be changed before then too, so we'll have to just keep our fingers crossed.

32 is the natural number following 31 and preceding 33.

first of all the new UI has nothing to do with the features on the phone. secondly the cdma razr has a poor battery life, and is now dead with features. we wont be launchign vcast music on it, and it wont have MOD, or VOD when we launch that. better off with samsung a930

You already have VOD, buddy. It's called V-Cast.

my understanding is the vod service launching is totally separate part of vcast and only vod compatable headsets will work. We are not talking the 3 minute clips, we are talking full episodes of tv programs with the vod service.

hey army....get over the UI, yeah Im not the biggest fan either, but you dont need to chime in on every thread about it...the UI is still a baby, and I'm sure they will make revisions to it and make it more customizable over time. If you really have a problem with the UI, you need to let VZN know. Bitchin about the UI to phonescoop is not how you get something changed. Just my two cents, and yes I am one of the "sheeP" waiting for the a930--should be a great phone!

why not just go with the 815? for the AF-trolls out there, it has it's original UI, and function-wise plays mp3 and midi's in the same directory* home-brewed vids*, as well as vcast capable. VCM? who cares? Like how many of us with large mp3 archives want to BUY music? Signal on it's great and sound's a good 8.5/10 (I've never seen a phone that scored higher than a 9...)

sorry. I own it, personal bias.

really???? Does the razr have removable memory? Does the razr have music on demand? does razr have video on demand? does the razr have a flash on the camera? Does the razr have a decent outer display? Does it have good battery life? I think that is enough questions, some of us liek the verizon ui, my 8100 has video wallpaper inside and outside, what more custimization do i need. I for one am pumped for the sam 930, their is also a lg video on demand phone, but that one is a littel more ilusive when it comes to finding info. I might have to get the samsung, especially if verizon keeps it in black!

Actually, the RAZR by VZ does have video on demand... aka VCast.

And some of the Razrs do have OBEX.

Sorry to kill your vibe, pal.

I agree with the rest. People who are against the UI should give it a rest.

Now about the UI...No it's not the greatest looking UI i've ever seen myself and the main thing that turned me off is that it took away the Personality of the Phones, but It really has nothing to do with Verizon wanting to control everything....I't more about simplicity If a customer Swithes from One phone to another of a different manufactor they don't have to go through the trouble of learning a whole new interface and if you've really taken the time to check out the RAZAR You'd see that although the UI is in Verizon's format getting around in it is No different than any other Motorola. Now don't get me wrong I'm no big fan of the UI myself because as a sales rep It makes it hard to sale a customer on what one phones UI has over another ...

That’s a perfect example of a verizon head; anyone who disagrees with policy should give it a rest. I bet in your perfect world the verizon forum would only consist of pro verizon statements. Sorry pal you can’t single handily suppress my first amendment rights.

Lonely, huh? Get a myspace or something. I don't mind you hating verizon, it's a free country, eh? What I really do mind is you coming with your "verizon sux, I rool" statement in every single discussion. It's immature, disrespectful and plain rude. Don't waste other people's time. They are here for a friendly advice.

If it makes it better for you, make a big banner on walk down the street...

Woo schizzo, gone off the deep end again. I’m here to discuss the UI that’s all silly bugger. I just had to comment on your ridiculous give it a rest statement. Know one tells me to zip it sorry, yawn

Read my post history pal I've said several times verizon is a good company and I also made my own thread about what I don't like. I will know longer jump in with my UI statements, but I will talk about all the things I don't like about verizon anytime I see fit.

I was never confused. But according to philosophy you are making unsound arguements based upon your feelings and not factual basis. The facts are . . . lowest churn . . . most net ads . . . highest customer satisfaction in most every survery (every major survey) . . . need more facts?

With all do respect I was never making any arguments; it was always about how I felt. I’m a verizon customer I know how well their service works and cannot dispute their record or quality of service. I like many folks don’t appreciate their control freak ways. I’ve compiled a fairly large list. Do you need an example? Have a good day.

ps

verizon still suxs, catch you later! 🙂

Is there an external viewfinder on this phone? Would be convenient/intuitive given the rotating camera lens. Also not a fan of the mp3 button shape/placement...we'll have to see

not to be rude but i think this thread started out about some phone the samsung a930. people are interested in the phone, if they wanted to debate about verizon service or UI they would go on the hundreds of other threads talking about it. so if anyone has any updated info on the samsung a930 i would appreciate it, thanks.

I agree with you Phoeneex. I would think there would be more interest in this phone. I went and used the Samsung A900 with Sprint. Wow what a phone. Amazing! I was able to get the unlock code ##409802. I wonder if a person could get it on the Verizon network. Great phone.

Yeah from what I heard its lightweight and all. I was thinking about the a950 but I dont want to waste my New Every Two on that phone if this one is gonna come out soon. The problem is that you have to wait for this thing to come out and they never give you a date or anything, which makes it frustrating. I actually thoguth about dropping VZW and going with Sprint's a900.
