This is how it goes:

Do you have an experience with PDAs?

Yes: 700 or 6700
No: 650

Do you prefer PALM OS?

Yes: 650
No: 700 or 6700

What's the phone/PDA usage ratio?

More phone: 650 or 700
More PDA: 6700

Are you planning on typing large emails (or any text)

Yes: 6700
No: 650 or 700

And so on...
Please, let me know if you have any questions =)

thanks for all the help...

i will be doing a good amount of emailing but id ont see why the 700 would be such a bad device, does the slide out keyboard make that huge of a difference? also, i will be using the phone heavily for outlook and it splanning abilities...so dont you think the keyboard owuld also play into that.
what about the speed difference between the 6700 and 700 (processor?) and between the 650 and the 7oo (internet browsing (i know the 700 has evdo, but how big is the difference)

can you use the 600 700 or the 6700 for DUN?

does wm 5 allow push email? if not can it be upgraded?

and what do you use?

Lol, sorry. 🤭

Alright, I prefer windows over palm for multimedia applications simply because of multitasking ability (for example: listen to music while browsing the INTERNET). However Treo 700 was created as a PDA, not a music player; limited memory might prevent you having a good experience especially if music/videos are important for you. Go with 6700.

Or and did I mentioned that camera on 6700 rocks? And flash is bright enough to make you say WOW 🤣

Let me know if there's other questions you have for me.

I have the same problems and will use the phone and pda (planning mostly and small amount of internet). I use alot when driving and the one handed ability of the 700 might be key for me... any thoughts on that for the 6700? Thanks

I have the same questions. What phone did you end up getting?

The keyboard on 6700 is alot better. Treo is usable, but not anywhere near the Audiovox. I like the Palm concept for ability to use the phone with only one hand. You can read the emails easily on both. As far as speed goes 650 is NOT for INTERNET browsing and large email attachment (you can do it, but it takes forever)

6700: 416 MHz processor
650 and 700: 312 MHz Intel

(for multimedia, it doesn't play the role in reading the books).

As for as I know, no DUN is available. However eventually you'll be able to use them as a modem via usb cable.

WM 5 does support push email.

I've had palm 600, ipaq 4100 and waiting for the Q.

Relatively slow processor, therefore not as good for multimedia.
Also EDGE (up to 132kps) doesn't quite match the speed of EVDO (up to 2.4mps, 400-700 really), witch makes 6700 faster for browsing.

650 - Palm based; 1X data
700 - Windows based; EVDO data
6700 - Windows based; EVDO data

What OS do you prefer? Do you need highspeed data?

That will help guide your decision.
